Mr Sean Hughes is dedicated to delivering exceptional individualised care, helping his patients achieve the best outcomes for their upper limb conditions. Whenever possible he advocates conservative treatments, and when necessary, surgical intervention, drawing on his expertise in hand, wrist, shoulder and elbow surgery, including military trauma experience.

When assessing and diagnosing upper limb conditions, Mr Hughes empowers his patients by providing detailed knowledge about their condition, treatment options, and prognosis. He offers treatments for both acute injuries like fractures and chronic issues such as ongoing pain. Hughes practices in Surrey and Sussex, providing services at Mount Alvernia Hospital and the Guildford Nuffield in Surrey. His approach is patient-centric, ensuring that individuals understand and are comfortable with their treatment choices.

Mr Hughes is proud to have served with the Royal Navy as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopedic Surgeon.

Mr Sean Hughes, holding an MB BS degree, an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering, and a Fellowship in Trauma & Orthopaedics (FRCS Tr & Orth), completed his medical education at King's College Hospital Medical School, London, in 1995. His professional training spanned locations in London, Sussex, and Surrey. This training culminated in specialised fellowships focusing on trauma and upper limb surgery in New Zealand and Guildford. Following these fellowships, he began his role as a Consultant at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.
