Miss Kate Gill, a specialist in hip and knee surgery, is celebrated for her patient-centred approach and comprehensive treatment methods. She is known for her expertise in dealing with complex cases and her dedication to ensuring the best outcomes for her patients. Leading the team in Robotically assisted hip and knee arthroplasty, Miss Gill can also offer day-case hip and knee replacements. As a respected surgeon among her peers, Miss Gill proudly holds the role of Hon. Secretary to the British hip Society. She is also the Surrey Heartlands representative on the BHS national advisory board for revision hip networks.

Miss Gill was elected as Honorary secretary of the British Hip Society  (BHS) in March 2022, and now sits on the executive committee.

Miss Gill's educational journey began at University College Hospital, London, where she graduated in 1997. Her early surgical career was marked by a Specialist registrar role within the South West Thames region.

 

With a growing interest in lower limb joint replacement surgery, she worked alongside eminent hip and knee surgeons, leading to her FRCS (Tr&Orth) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009. Her advanced training included a significant fellowship in hip replacement at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre, Exeter, in 2011, followed by a fellowship in knee replacement surgery in Guildford in 2012.

 

By 2014, Miss Gill had progressed to a consultant role in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. She plays an influential role in the British Hip Society and holds several key orthopaedic and clinical leadership positions.
